Demetrius Andrade yearns for the day that he’ll get to fight Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez or Gennadiy Golovkin.
Until then, “Boo Boo” plans to keep showing that he’s arguably the most skilled middleweight champion in the world. Andrade will put his WBO middleweight title on the line against a game Liam Williams at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida on Saturday, live on DAZN.
The undefeated Andrade is coming off a ninth-round TKO of Luke Keeler last January, while Williams blasted Andrew Robinson out in the first round in October.
Will Andrade put on another polished performance or will Williams pull off the upset?
Here’s everything you need to know about the fight’s live stream info, start time and how to watch on DAZN.
Liam Williams will attempt to win his maiden world title when he challenges Demetrius Andrade for the WBO middleweight belt on Saturday evening.
The Welsh fighter previously came up short twice against Liam Smith in 2017, suffering the only two defeats of his professional career, but has been a rejuvenated force under trainer Dominic Ingle, winning seven successive bouts by knockout to become the mandatory challenger at 160lbs.
Andrade, who was a decorated amateur before winning world titles at 154lbs and 160lbs is yet to taste defeat, winning all 29 of his professional contests, although his quality of opposition has often been questionable. He hopes victory against Williams will set up a career-defining bout against Gennadiy Golovkin.
Williams, though, insists he will lay waste to those plans. “Unfortunately boxing is a sport where fighters can hide behind their sanctioning bodies, managers, promoters, broadcasters,” he said. “There are so many ways to worm your way out of fights these days. I have had to sit on the sidelines and wait my turn, I have tried being nice and being nasty, I have beaten everyone put in front of me… I will not be denied any longer.”
Despite the fight taking place in Florida, the card is being broadcast to suit UK viewers with the undercard starting at around 8pm BST while the main event will take place between 10.30pm and 11pm.
The Andrade vs. Williams card will stream live on DAZN globally, except for in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and China.
