This was the last plough day of the year. Held on local fields to Laneside, it was a casual day for club members to meet up, adjust their rigs, help and advise the less experienced and generally relax and enjoy lovely autumn weather. As usual Keith and his lady helpers provided a most welcome lunch at “the Ranch” with hot soup, cheese and ham rolls, cakes and plenty of hot drinks to fend off the chilly on shore breeze. The afternoon saw us return to the fields until it was time to go home, tired but happy with what had been a lovely end to our ploughing year.
